Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr to star in a Hollywood wedding

In a move guaranteed to disappoint the mayor of Gunnedah, Adam Marshall, who pledged to hold a street parade and employ a brass band if Miranda Kerr's marriage to Orlando Bloom was held in her hometown in Australia, Mandrake learns that the wedding will take place in America.
Bloom, 33, who is from Canterbury, will marry the 27-year-old model in Los Angeles. "It is where they spend most of their time and where their mutual friends live," says a friend of the actor, who stars in the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
Last week, Bloom's mother, Sonia Copeland, told Mandrake she was "thrilled" that he had proposed to Kerr, whom he had courted for almost three years after they met backstage at a lingerie catwalk show in New York. "Miranda is a beautiful girl, in all aspects of that word," she said.
During Bloom's childhood, Copeland told him that his father was her husband, the anti-Apartheid novelist Harry Bloom. However, when he was 13, nine years after the author's death, she informed him that his biological father was, in fact, Colin Stone, a family friend.
Stone, the principal of the Concorde International language school in Kent, was made the legal guardian for the actor, who was named after the composer Orlando Gibbons.
