Kate Bosworth is close to a deal to star in Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo’s supernatural thriller “After.Life.†Vosloo, will direct from her own script which chronicles a young woman in a transitional state between life and death who fights to avoid being buried alive by the funeral director who holds her fate in his hands. Two-time Oscar nominee John Mathieson (â€Gladiator,†“Kingdom of Heavenâ€) has signed on as cinematographer, with production is scheduled to begin later this year.
Vosloo wrote, directed and produced “Pâté,†which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and won several top jury prices at festivals nationwide. “Pâté†is a majestically dark story about an aristocratic family struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Amongst a bleak landscape of desolation, two young children, Otto and his sister Vera, hunt daily for food. Meanwhile at home in an abandoned ship, their delusional Mother pitifully clings to the faded glory of their former lives. When the sublimely malevolent Mister Griswald, the only man to survive the apocalypse, unexpectedly drops in for dinner, he sets in motion the final act - revealing the shocking secret of their survival.
