Morgan York (born January 18, 1993 in Burbank, California) is an American child actress.
Morgan Elizabeth York was born on January 18, 1993 in Burbank, California. She lived in Studio City until her family moved to New York City in November of 1997. They lived in NYC until the end of the year 2000. While they were living there, Morgan studied acting and spent several Saturday afternoons at Broadway matinees.
Her career began at 8 months old when she booked her first professional job, a Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer commercial. Although she has never stopped acting for fun, she did not continue to pursue acting as a profession until the age of 9 when she got an agent and started going out on auditions and consistently receiving call-backs. Her first film role was the part of Kim Baker in the box-office hit Cheaper by the Dozen and then headed to Toronto the following summer to film "The Pacifier" in the role of LuLu Plummer. The next summer, Morgan headed back to Toronto to film the sequel to "Cheaper by the Dozen."
Morgan is the oldest of three. She has a sister, Wendy, born in July of 1995 and a brother, Thomas, born in February 1999. The three of them are very close and spend much of their time together playing PlayStation 2 (especially Kingdom Hearts 2), Game Cube, reading books, collecting stuffed animals/glass figurines, and doing creative dramatics. When she's not working on the set, she can usually be found reading a book, surfing the web, making websites, or working on her drawings. Morgan is a huge Harry Potter fan, and has read all the Lemony Snicket books. She is also a big fan of the book "The Giver," by Lois Lowry.
She is also an excellent writer who experiments with poetry, plays, screenplays and is currently working on her first book.
