Michael Clinton Irby (born November 16, 1972) is an American film and television actor.
Irby was born in Palm Springs, California and grew up in Cabazon, California, the son of Ernie and Cindy Irby. He has two brothers, Jason and Ernest III.
With a lifelong love for soccer, he played in Europe as part of Team USA before he was forced to give it up due to injury. Following the end of his soccer career, he went to college where his drama professor encouraged him to pursue a career in theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York.
Irby has a passion for writing poetry. Some of his poems have gotten the attention of the producers and led to some of his original poetry being incorporated into his storylines. He can sometimes be seen performing clubs around the Los Angeles area. Irby's acting career started in New York. There he portrayed John the Baptist in Manhattan Theater Club's production of "Corpus Christi."
He currently lives in Los Angeles.
He is married to Susan Matus, who he met whilst studying in New York, and they have a son.
