Yesterday she was a witness. Today she's a target.
Carmen Colson is a real estate agent happily married to the unemployed Wayne. She successfully convinces her stubborn, blue-collar husband into an interview with her own firm. When Wayne shows up for his appointment, he is surprised to find a couple of criminals instead of managers in shirts and ties. Days earlier, the over-the-hill Armand "The Blackbird" Degas and the unstable, irrational, and quite foolish Richie Nix agreed to become partners in Richie’s plan to extort money from a real estate agency. Obviously they didn’t plan on Wayne to walk in on them. He foils the plot and escapes in the process, leaving the two at the mercy of a witness. Armand and Richie are actually hit men and it doesn’t take them very long to track down Wayne and his wife.
After a failed attempt on their lives, Wayne and Carmen enter the Witness Protection Program. Aided by FBI agent Ferris Britton they relocate to a different part of the country, but the two hit men are both determined to erase any living evidence linking them to the crime scene.
